In the Name of God Amen. The Three and Twentieth Day of February Anno Dominini 1691. And in the Fourth Year of the Reign of Our Sovereign Lord and Lady William and Mary King and Queen of England etc. I William GANDER of the Parish of St.Martin-in-the-Fields in the County of Middlesex, Citizen and Cordwainer of London, being in health of Body and of Sound and Rational Mind and Memory, Thanks be to God: But considering the Certainty of Death, and the Frailty and Uncertainty of this Mortal and Transitory Life; And being desirous in the time of Health to Settle and Dispose of my Estate in such Way and Manner as herein after is menioned (sic), do Make and Declare this my Last Will and Testament in manner and form following, that is to say First and principally I Commend my Soul into the Hands of Almighty God my Creator to be Saved by His Infinite Mercy in and through His son Jesus Christ my Redeemer. My Body I comit (sic) to the Earth to be decently Buried by my Executrix herein-after Named. And my Mind and desire is to be Buried in the New Ground or Burying Place in Bun-Hill Fields near London if it may be with conveniency. And Touching all such Worldly Estate as shall be belonging to me at the Time of my decease. I Give devise and Bequeath the same as followeth. Imprimus My Will and Mind is that all such Debts and Sums of Money as I shall truly Owe to any Person or Persons at the time of my decease shall be duly and fully Paid and Satisfied, and my Funeral Expenses discharged. Item I Give and Bequeath to my Loving Mother Susanna GANDER widow, the Sum of Ten Pounds of Lawful Money of England To be Paid to her at the End of Three Months next after my Decease. Item I Give and Bequeath to my Loving Sister Susanna BOWREY Widow, The Sum of Twenty Pounds of like Money, To be Paid to her at the End of Three Months next after my decease. Item My Will and Meaning is that in Case my said Mother and Sister or either of them shall happen to dye and depart this Life before the said End of Three Months next after my decease, Then I Give and Bequeath the Legacy and Legacies of her or them so dying To the Children of the said Susanna BOWREY and to the Survivors and Survivor of them, to be Divided and Distributed equally to and amongst them and to the Survivors and Survivor of them Part and Share alike And to be Paid to them or for their Use and Benefit within the Space of Twelve Months next after my Decease. Item I Give and Bequeath to my brother Henry GANDER One Guinea or Piece of Gold so called to buy him a Ring to Wear in Remembrance of me, To be Paid to him within the Space of One month next after my Decease. Item I Give Devise and Bequeath all the Rest and Residue of my Estate wheresoever, whether the same doth or shall Consist in Ready Money, Plate, Rings, Jewels Householdstuff Wares Merchandizes Goods Chattels Rights Credits or other Things, and all other Estate whatsoever both Real and Personal which shall be belonging to me at the time of my Decease, To my dear and Loving Wife Elizabeth GANDER, and to her Heirs Executors Administrators and Assigns, To her and their own use behoof and benefit dearly and absolutely for Ever. Item. I make Ordain Constitute and Appoint my said Wife Elizabeth GANDER Full and Sole Executrix of this my Last Will and Testament desiring that the same may be duly and fully performed. And Lastly I hereby Revoke Nullifie and Make Void all other Wills and Testaments by me heretofore Made or Declared to the Contrary hereof, And Publish Declare and Appoint This and no Other to be my Last Will and Testament. In Witness whereof I the said William GANDER to every sheet of this my Last Will and Testament (the Whole being Contained in Four Sheets of Paper) have Set my Hand, and to the Last Sheet thereof and at The Top, have Set my Seal, the Day and Year first herein Written.
